5 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 10)

3. But What About Roman?

Seven weeks ago, Roman Reigns announced that his leukemia had returned and he was taking an indefinite hiatus to battle the cancer. Everyone is hoping and praying he makes a full recovery. Since then, Roman’s name has been brought back several times in conversation and storylines on Raw.

But it’s really starting to become a huge stretch, with Monday reaching new depths. Charly Caruso was interviewing Dean Ambrose about his feud with Seth Rollins when she asked him how Roman Reigns would react to everything. Ambrose coolly said, “Who cares?” which prompted a video package that in part featured Reigns’ promo disclosing his illness.

It was a ridiculous proposition, asking what a character who might not return to Raw for a long time, thinks about this. It was just an excuse to name-drop one of WWE’s biggest stars because of his connection with Ambrose and Rollins.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
