5 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 8th)

8. Again?

Although it might feel like Randy Orton and Sheamus have wrestled each other on television 1,000 times, rest assured that is not true. Monday night was only the 16th televised singles match between the two, and only the second this year. Unfortunately, the other match took place last week, and both matches went 10-plus minutes and ended in disqualifications. So if you love watching two main event guys tangle for 10 minutes before one lobs a steel chair at the other for a DQ finish, then this was your night. The match did nothing but give Sheamus back a DQ win (as if that matters) and then allowed Orton to lay Sheamus out with an RKO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F_S13EMoXE Sheamus was on a roll when he returned after WrestleMania, but trading DQ wins with Orton isn€™t going to help, and neither will being in another multi-man match that he doesn€™t win. WWE needs strong heels, and for a while, this was the most interesting Sheamus has been in years. Don€™t lose focus and make him just another guy trading wins in meaningless matches.

Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
