2. Brutality In The Cell

Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins (and Chris Jericho) delivered exactly what you’d expect from a Hell in a Cell championship match: physicality, brutality and some crowd-cringing moments.

KO and Rollins went right at each other immediately, and the match remained at a steady pace. There were a few moments we haven’t seen in a cell match before (which is rare when there’s already been 34 other HIAC matches), such as Owens’ cannonball into the cell and Rollins’ powerbomb of KO from the ring, through an angled table resting above another table on the floor.

The sequence in the middle of the match, with both men trading finisher attempts, superkicks and finally a clothesline, brought the crowd to its feet. Even with the interference from Jericho, it was a really good match between the two. This was an occasion where the fans chanting, “This is awesome!” was deserved.
