On the flip side of Sami Zayn’s odd return, we’ve got to take our hats off to Finn Balor.

Twenty-four hours after winning the Intercontinental Championship, Balor not only answered an open challenge from Zayn, but he volunteered to put his IC title on the line – and then successfully defended it.

That’s a pretty big positive, as it also was good seeing Finn not tangle with Bobby Lashley again. Those two need to take a break from each other at this point. And if Balor is going to defend the title week after week, then that’s a great thing for us if he gets a decent reign out of it.

For now, we’ll just cautiously give a thumbs-up here for the first day.
