Can someone explain what the hell Sami Zayn’s return is supposed to be about?

Zayn returned after 10 months out for double shoulder surgery and issued an open challenge, which was answered by new Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor. The two had an IC title match, which Zayn lost.

Sami then cut a strange promo about how the fans were all critics who pass judgment on everyone but themselves, and that he would come out each and every week to hold them accountable for their actions.

…

Umm… what?

No seriously, what was that? It just felt like an utter waste of time. Let’s hope this goes somewhere, but if this is the best WWE has got after 10 months – and considering what they had for Kevin Owens upon his return, it wouldn’t be surprising – then this is NO BUYS.
