5 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 15)

4. Gotta Keep Show Strong€ Why?

Without rehashing everything that was said in the rundown of TLC, there€™s no good reason for Big Show to keep beating younger talent to build him up€ just so he can put over another young talent down the road. In this case, Show knocked out and pinned Erick Rowan for the second consecutive night. Also for the second consecutive night, Show had a confrontation with Roman Reigns. And Reigns once again got the better of the exchange. It€™s obvious here that the writers are trying to make Big Show look like an unstoppable monster so that it€™s a perceived bigger deal when Reigns eventually takes him out. Unfortunately, Show is quickly reaching Kane levels of irrelevance. While Kane is generally respected as an all-time great big man, no one takes him seriously as a threat when a hero is booked against him. Kane is the former monster resting on his laurels and reputation, when he hasn€™t been that person for quite some time. Show is about the same thing right now, so having him beat Rowan isn€™t building Show up, it€™s stunting Rowan€™s growth. Just let Reigns decimate Show and move on.
