5 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 17th)
3. Harper Has A Belt To Hold Up His Jeans
Dolph Ziggler is the internet fans favorite son. Hes long been popular with more seasoned fans, and his three-month stint (save for one day) as Intercontinental Champion was possibly a way of getting him back on course within WWE. But lately, Ziggler has been elevated through the Survivor Series feud with the Authority. That makes the IC title almost superfluous around his waist. Enter Luke Harper. The dirty, wild-eyed former Wyatt Family member has shown flashes of being a solid wrestler who can move around really well for such a big guy. Theres the potential there for him to be a standout guy, which would be a boon for WWE. So, why not give him a shot with the Intercontinental Championship? Dolph actually has managed to dull the recent memory of him losing a bunch of matches and is now feuding directly with Triple H and the top heels. The IC title could finally serve a useful purpose in helping to establish a former tag team wrestler as a legit singles competitor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es8HzWo8Uog&index=2&list Yes it sounds crazy in 2014. But its something that worked for guys like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Edge and Jeff Hardy. Luke Harper might not be like any of them, but its nice to see WWE (hopefully) give a guy a chance to shine.
