5 Ups And Downs From WWE TLC 2014

1. Roman Reigns Returns

Surprise returns can run the gamut from tremendous to disastrous. The worst feeling WWE has to have is when they book a big return or debut and it falls flat on its face. A lot of times, how things go during that initial appearance can color how things unfold. Look at Batista€™s return at the Royal Rumble this year. So it had to be heartening for WWE to see main event heir apparent Roman Reigns get a strong reaction from the crowd as he took out Big Show and exacted a measure of revenge on Seth Rollins. Sure, he helped John Cena, who at best gets a 50/50 reaction from fans. But Reigns made a statement in his return, and then pledged to continue his march toward the main event at the Royal Rumble. Whether some fans think he€™s ready, Reigns is one of WWE€™s better bets, and his injury really hurt the product this fall. His return to the ring is a welcome addition.
