5 Valets Who Overshadowed Their Wrestlers (& 5 Who Complemented Them)

9. Overshadowed: Trish Stratus With T & A

The relationship between Trish Stratus and T&A (Test and Albert) is a glaring example of a valet who more than outshined the team she was working with. To be fair, the tag team was literally called 'T & A,' (a play on t*ts and ass) so it's fair to assume WWE wanted fans to focus on Stratus and that's exactly what they did.

Test and Albert weren't exactly the biggest personalities of the Attitude Era, so adding a little spice in the form of a beautiful woman would seem to make sense on the surface. The problem was that Stratus' natural charisma and sex appeal made T&A more of an afterthought than even WWE likely anticipated.

Of course, it's not as if Stratus and/or WWE ruined a potentially great tag-team here. T&A had little chemistry and felt very much like just another lumbering, big man tag team. In other words, they probably weren't going anywhere with or without the Canadian beauty by their side.

As it turned out, Stratus would go on to become (arguably) the biggest female star of all-time. As for Test and Albert, though there were a few high points, both men generally floundered as mid-card acts for the remainder of their careers.
