5-Way WWE Intercontinental Title Match Set For WrestleMania 34?

Bad news for The Miz...

The Miz
WWE.com

WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz lost consecutive non-title matches to Seth Rollins and Finn Balor on this week's Raw, and if SI.com's Justin Barrasso is to be believed, 'The A-Lister's' life won't be getting easier anytime soon.

As per the write-up, Miz is set to defend his belt against Rollins, Balor, Elias, and Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 34, with WWE sowing the first seeds on Raw.

Strowman had been rumoured to face Miz in singles competition at the pay-per-view, but has since been mooted as a potential main event substitute should further issues arise with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar's contract. Booking him in this five-way bout would allow them to make this last minute change with little hassle, as WWE could switch it to a Fatal 4-Way, rendering a mass reshuffle unnecessary.

The report should be taken with a pinch of salt, as there's no source listed, but it makes sense. With Strowman mauling Elias on Raw and Miz's aforementioned clashes with Rollins and Balor, they're already tussling with each other, and it'd be an easy way for WWE to fit five big names on an otherwise crowded card.
