5 Wrestlers Who Could Be Adam Cole's Secret AEW Return Opponent
1. Serpentico
If Adam Cole was to wrestle Jay White, it would happen at Double or Nothing as opposed to a random spring Dynamite.
Although this particular Dynamite falls during WrestleMania week when such mega-matches are expected, Tony Khan has remained outspoken regarding producing additional content - as in anything other than the regular weekly broadcasts - during this period. Supercard Of Honor remains only as a fan-service delivery to ROH historians, its legacy having preceded 'Mania itself for ROH's duration, bar 2010 and 2011's outings in May.
If - and it still is an if - Cole vs. White does happen, it'll be at Double or Nothing, Forbidden Door, All Out, or any other grandiose stage that encompasses the yearly AEW calendar. It won't be on the 29 March Dynamite.
So, who is facing Adam Cole?
Serpentico.
Not once has it been stated that Adam Cole's comeback opponent will be a major name. Tony Khan won't have done this, to avoid fan disappointment - this is the same booker who promised a major star signing at Revolution 2021 only to deliver Christian Cage at a time when expectations were set firmly on CM Punk - but perhaps he's avoided using that phraseology because there isn't a major name lined up for Adam Cole.
Serpentico it is, then.
