5 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Joker In AEW's Women's Casino Battle Royale
4. Veda Scott
AEW is tactical in how they utilise veteran indie talents.
Darby Allin has been on a meteoric rise since arriving in the promotion, proving himself as a ratings draw through his credible TNT Title reign that will, one day, culminate in him being crowned the World Champion. 2point0, mere weeks after their WWE release, were snapped up, positioned alongside Daniel Garcia, and consistently find themselves in angles and matches opposite Sting, Allin, CM Punk, and other names of that magnitude. Britt Baker, someone already teetering on the edge of superstardom, was moulded into a complete megastar in AEW upon turning heel.
Veda Scott could easily slip into that category.
A ten-year veteran of the business, Veda is still awaiting that big break on a mainstream wrestling stage. Brief stints in IMPACT Wrestling and Ring Of Honor look great on a wrestling CV, but they didn't lead to much. Similarly, Veda's commentary work during AEW's Deadly Draw women's tag team tournament last summer put her on the map a tad as a solid voice in the announce booth, but again, it didn't lead to much more in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Entering the Casino Battle Royale would ideally be only the beginning of Veda's in-ring venture into all things All Elite. Plus, you know, she's definitely in the area on the day of All Out; she's on the card for EFFY's Big Gay Brunch.
