5 Wrestlers Who Were LEGITIMATELY Fired On The Air

2. Chavo Guerrero

Something of a cheat, this, but it does allow us the excuse of questioning the logic behind TNA Wrestling's 'Feast Or Fired' concept, in which wrestlers competed for mystery briefcases including contractual cracks at TNA's Championships - and a pink slip confirming their termination.

Though a novel means of removing a character from television, who, within the parameters of the storyline, would volunteer for such a lucky dip? More to the point: why would any promoter whose brains weren't comprised exclusively of sh*t risk losing a genuine asset? These weren't all-goober affairs; Samoa Joe was booked in the 2009 edition of the match. Chavo Guerrero was one such man, who left the promotion in 2013, never to return. Since TNA didn't know what to do with their assets, it was probably no real loss, actually. Sound booking?

TNA issued a press release in the immediate aftermath to put the gimmick over.

What's even dafter is that the precedent of Sheik Abdul Bashir four years prior was upheld, which made Chavo's decision to enter the match a very stupid one.

It's not as if WWE was going to have him back.
