Another big UFC fan who has turned up at numerous events over the years, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a physically gifted athlete who played college football and later CFL football (lets not forget that several fighters including Matt Mitrione and Brendan Schaub come from football backgrounds), and, with the proper training, could likely have made the jump to the UFC. The Rock has actually appeared in UFC productions before, being featured in the Brock Lesnar retrospective on UFC Fight Pass. He was also interviewed by UFC 360 this month, and had this to say about a career in MMA: "I used to hear that voice a few years back, then I remembered I dont like getting punched in the face. Kidding aside, I have boundless respect for MMA and the discipline it takes to become a champion." In times past, The Rock has admitted that had he started younger, and had the UFC been as big as it is now back then, he would have considered a career in the cage. No matter how he preformed in the octagon, a fight featuring The Rock would have been an MMA promoter's dream.
