5 WWE Incest Angles We'd Rather Forget

2. The Burchills (Brother And Sister)

If you thought incest angles were only pitched in the days of The Attitude Era, think again. WWE revisited the "family-time-bad-touch" in 2008 when Paul and Katie Lea Burchill were introduced as onscreen brother and sister. Loosely based on the film Cruel Intentions, the two had an implied relationship and would often caress each other's arms during segments and lean close in to each other's faces when talking.

Both wrestlers were undeniably very talented but fans knew the gimmick was doomed to fail. Despite claims from Katie Lee (real name Katarina Waters) that WWE were serious about the incest angle and were going to treat it with respect, it is hard to imagine any fans would have invested in it. The final nail in the coffin for the angle was when, two weeks after it all began, WWE went PG and pulled the plug on any of the more risque aspects of their programming.
