5 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need A Face Turn

5. Wade Barrett

Wade Barrett, Bad News Barrett, King Barrett, Earl Barrett, whatever you want to call him matters not - regardless of his name, Mr Barrett is in desperate need of freshening up. He made his debut on the main roster in 2010, and from that day since he has been a heel without even a hint of a face turn. One could argue that his Bad News gimmick saw him teeter on the edge of gaining popular support from the crowd, and I do believe it was a missed opportunity not to turn him at that time. Even so, Barrett is as stale as three-week-old bread. I'm not sure if there is a single character in the company who needs a total reset more than England's own, a man who pretty much exists now for two reasons - to take pinfalls and to hit people with his elbow. As we say here in Serbia, 'to je to' (that is that). A face turn for Barrett might not necessarily be a grand success, but at least it would be something. Whether it is under the Bad News moniker or not doesn't matter, but trying on the white hat might not be such a bad idea.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
