5 WWE Things We Learned From Ronda Rousey On Piper's Pit

5. Being Nervous At WrestleMania

We open right away with Piper setting the scene of Ronda's first appearance in a WWE ring in front of 77,000 people and asking if she was nervous. She replies that she was, in a way, and she was trying to look cool while her heart was thumping in her chest. She said she didn't want it to come off as obvious but she's sure that it probably did. Roddy adds that it's a different world. In contrast to how she prepares for a UFC fight, she says the difference in the nerves is the uncertainty of MMA. She says she doesn't know what will happen - if she will get hurt, what her opponents will do, etc. - so her mind is racing at all the possibilities that could take place. But in WWE it was different because she knew exactly what to expect so she could focus on that and it led to her feeling a type of nerves that she didn't expect. She calls it a different kind of anxiety.
