50 Best WWE Matches Of The 90s

2. Razor Ramon Vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania X)

Other than a well-worked exhibition between Michaels and Bret Hart in July 1992, the ladder match was a foreign concept in WWF canon. It would be employed to settle the 'undisputed' Intercontinental title feud between Michaels and Ramon, the former of which was stripped of the belt in 1993, and still claimed he was the rightful champion. As is his custom, Michaels bumped like a superball off of Ramon's strikes, whether it was a punch, or something akin to a ladder battering ram. The two enthralled the MSG crowd with moves never before seen in the WWF, which made sense with the ladder opening up a brand new playbook. Ramon won after Michaels was tangled in the ropes, but as has been the case with many matches on this list, the loser became a bigger star in defeat.
