Seth Rollins "Ready To Go" - WWE Return Imminent (WWE News)
WWE pencilled Seth Rollins in for Money In The Bank before plans changed.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select has heard from WWE sources that "plans for [Seth Rollins] return [are] already lined up and ready to go". The company is simply keeping Seth off television whilst they figure out "the right moment to bring him back". This follows on from word earlier this month that the multi-time World Champ's name hadn't been brought up internally in a while.
Apparently, that has changed.
Interestingly, WWE almost put Rollins on the lineup for next month's Money In The Bank PLE before also changing their minds on that. However, "a source noted that Rollins' return to TV shouldn't be that far off". It's unclear whether or not he'll be part of the Raw or SmackDown roster at time of writing.
This wasn't included in the WrestleVotes/Fightful write-up, so it's pure speculation, but...is there a chance that WWE is swerving everyone on MITB here? Seth could perform a run-in during one of the major matches on the 10 October show. Or, maybe they will keep him back for TV afterwards.
There's no denying that it'll be a huge boost for the creative team to have such a major player back in the mix, but it remains to be seen exactly where Rollins lands. SmackDown's headline pack is busy: WWE Champion Sami Zayn is being chased by a long list of talent. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Gunther, Finn Bálor and even Johnny Gargano are on the hunt for gold.
Then, there's everyone else already involved in the men's ladder match at MITB, so it's anyone's guess where Seth would fall post-comeback.
