50 MMA Fights You Must Watch Before You Die

41. Robbie Lawler Vs. Carlos Condit - UFC 195

When you pit two of the most violent and action-oriented fighters in MMA history against each other, you're bound to get a fight that is an absolute barnburner. Luckily for us, then UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and his opponent, former interim 170lb champ, Carlos Condit, exceeded any and all expectations when they fought each other for the title.

With Lawler and Condit preferring to focus on attack rather than defence, it meant that both combatants had a number of potential fight-finishing moments during their epic five round brawl.

Lawler caught Condit with a devastating uppercut to the chin in the second round that put him on his backside, while Condit landed a ridiculous Muay Thai salvo of punches, kicks, knees and elbows in the fourth round that opened up the champ and left him a bloody mess.

However, this fight will forever be remembered for the incredibly tense fifth round. Both men bit down on their mouthpieces and traded strikes all around the Octagon. While Lawler left with the title, both men received the respect of all MMA fans for their exceptional performance.
