50 MMA Fights You Must Watch Before You Die

37. Rose Namajunas Vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk 1 - UFC 217

Since the beginning of her career, people have seen Rose Namajunas as someone with the potential to be a future champion. Although known for showing brief glimpses of her extraordinary talent, she still seemed to be missing that elite performance that convinced people that she was one of the best in her weight class.

It took a little longer than expected for Thug Rose to have her career-defining moment, when it did happen it was jaw-dropping. Facing off against undefeated strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Namajunas had a hell of a task on her hands, but Jedrzejczyk's incessant trash talk motivated the title contender.

By the time the fight started, Namajunas was fully focused on taking the champion out and fulfilling her destiny. She wasted little time in connecting with Jedrzejczyk, landing an overhand right that sent the champion backpedalling towards the cage. With her opponent on wobbly legs, Namajunas landed a devastating left hook that sent Jedrzejczyk to the canvas before a few follow-up punches put the finishing touches to a perfect performance.
