You would think that this would be a dream matchup, with two juggernauts and former world champions going toe-to-toe at the biggest show of the year, but circumstances turned this into an absolute sideshow. Shortly before WrestleMania 20, word leaked out that Brock Lesnar, just two years into his WWE career, was leaving the company to pursue an NFL career. Simultaneously, Goldbergs one-year deal with WWE was drawing to a close. With both men literally on their way out the door the next day, the Madison Square Garden crowd turned this match into a bizarre sociology experiment, jeering and chanting throughout the match. It was so awkward that neither the wrestlers nor the announcers really knew how to react. Truly must be seen to be believed.
