Pros:

1. Enthusiastic about wrestling

2. Willing to sacrifice a lot to learn

3. Was comfortable in front of a camera & on the microphone

Cons:

1. Didn't look like a wrestler at all

2. Despised and bullied backstage

3. Was basically treated like a joke

Looking back on it, it’s funny to think that this guy would someday become WWE Champion and main event WrestleMania. Of course, that was a long way off, and first, Miz had to endear himself to the WWE locker room, which was like trying to convince John Cena to turn heel in 2014.

Despite being a fan of wrestling, Miz’s reputation as a ‘reality TV star’ made him the target of intense hostility from day one. Even though he was a good speaker and had some degree of charisma, he was often bullied by the wrestling veterans who either thought he wasn’t being respectful towards WWE’s traditions, or simply didn’t like the guy.

Nowadays, stories about the bullying Miz experienced are probably more widespread than tales of his in-ring accomplishments. No matter how hard he worked during the mid-to-late 2000s, he was treated as a joke, lumbered with awful catchphrases and even worse ring attire.

Small wonder the guy has been said to come across as an a**hole. One thing’s for sure, he worked very hard, and he at least deserves some respect for that.

Final Rating: **1/2
