When it came to in-ring abilities and overall presentation, nothing really changed for Lita when the Ruthless Aggression Era began. She was an excellent a wrestler, and her Women's Championship match with Trish Stratus on December 6th, 2004, has been cited as arguably the best Women's Championship match ever. That, coupled with her punk-style look, made her turn heads and garner cheers as soon as she entered the arena.

Unfortunately, it was during this period that Lita would get sidelined with several devastating injuries. While attempting a stunt for a TV show, she cracked 3 of her vertebrae, which required surgery. It was during this period that she did color commentary on Heat to keep herself visible to the WWE Universe. But later she damaged her ACL, and that likewise damaged her career prospects.

In the end, Lita retired soon after long-time rival Stratus, and forever cemented her legacy as one of the most unique and exciting women to ever race a WWE ring.
