Sometimes its a good idea to drop a wrestling angle quickly. However, its always a great idea not to go through with an obviously awful storyline in the first place. For one night, and one night only, Daniel Bryan was cheating on Brie. For some stupid reason, Brie bought into it, even though it was her nemesis Stephanie McMahon delivering the news. On the August 11 edition of Raw, a night we were supposed to be joyously celebrating Hulk Hogans birthday, Steph called a strange woman into the ring. We found out that our hero Daniel Bryan was having an affair! No! Brie was heartbroken and decked this evil woman (independent wrestler Megan Miller). This resulted in her being arrested. Bryan obviously came out the next week and denied these claims right? Nah. It was completely forgotten. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw6hGD_Ib0k No other show on TV could take up 20 minutes of our life one week with a major story, and then pretend it never happened the next. Such is the life of a WWE fan. The small minority of people who liked the angle were disappointed. The rest of us just wished it had never happened.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
