Here's a brief breakdown of the storyline: in December 2000, Vince causes Linda to have a severe nervous breakdown after months of emotional abuse, culminating in a request for a divorce. Linda remains helpless and wheelchair-bound for several months, forced to watch as Vince cavorts with new girlfriend Trish Stratus. Vince then turns on Trish, dumping sewage on her and aligning himself with daughter Stephanie. For some reason, Trish remains a member of their gang, acting as Linda's minder and taking a boatload of abuse without complaint. It makes no sense. It just makes no sense.
