6 Bobby Roode Feuds WWE Should Book On Main Roster
4. Sami Zayn
Roode is a throwback wrestler. Often slow and purposeful in the ring, it is clear that he grew up on guys like Ric Flair and Curt Hennig, learning from them the best of their gimmicks and wrestling styles. There aren’t many better to learn from.
He is not going to carry someone to a five-star match like AJ Styles can, but he can be a wonderful foil for performers with a more high-energy move set.
Somebody who fits that description on the SmackDown roster and is desperately in need of something to do is Sami Zayn. He has been lost since being switched over to Team Blue - a trade that was supposed to take his WWE career to new levels.
Recent rivalries with Baron Corbin and Mike Kanellis have done little for Zayn, who found himself left off the SummerSlam card completely. He is crying out for the type of meaningful long-term feud that he enjoyed with Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman.
Roode would make for a brilliant dance partner in a programme that could help both men. On one side, the all-action Zayn, and on the other, the wily veteran Roode. Zayn’s underdog status means that losses, at least to credible opponents, don’t hurt him that much so he can give his fellow Canadian the rub to welcome him to the main roster.
