It’s hard choosing a proper opponent for the women because the talent is so thinly spread between the two rosters. With the current champion, Charlotte and the most over wrestler in Sasha both over on Raw it doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for the SmackDown ladies to grow.

Alexa Bliss is someone who really came into her own as a worker in the last year or so, while also excelling in her role as a valet for Blake and Murphy. The fact that she was called up over Bayley is questionable, unless we assume it had to do with keeping Bayley on the NXT roster to help sell tickets, but here we are.

I’d immediately pair Bliss off with Becky Lynch. The Lasskicker is popular with the crowd and one of the best workers in the division, while Alexa is a great natural heel. The two would fit together in a program quite well, and the matches would be great fun to watch.

Personally I think Becky has the higher upside, but the brass at WWE notoriously love their model-esque blondes so they may see dollar signs in Alexa that they inexplicably don't in Lynch.

Regardless, the women on both rosters, but especially SmackDown, need to be built up in a hurry or the interest will rapidly start to wane.
