6 Potential First WWE Feuds For The New NXT Draftees

2. Carmella Vs. Eva Marie

This is where things start to get complicated. I honestly don't envy the WWE writers right now who are suddenly faced with half the talent to work with, especially considering the lacklusgtre results they've been turning out with the full roster at their disposal.

Carmella seems like a wonderful person, and her friendship with Bayley is one of wrestling's fun, feel-good stories. For all her improvements, the most successful she's been was when she was alongside her real-life boyfriend Big Cass and his tag team partner Enzo Amore.

Sadly that's not an option due to Enzo and Cass being top picks for Raw while Carmella will earn her living on Tuesdays. We haven't seen enough out of her in the ring to know how well she'll fit in with the elite women wrestlers such as Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, so this is her time to show and prove.

For this choice I was torn between choosing Eva Marie or Nattie, but with Nattie and Becky embroiled in a heated feud - one that Becky absolutely should win - it would seem a tad counterproductive to toss her into another similar program so quickly.

That leaves heat magnet Eva Marie as the best option. Presumably Carmella will be positioned as a face, a role that works better for her from what we've seen so far, and there's no female the WWE Universe despises more than Eva Marie. The fiery redhead could literally single handedly stop an ISIS terrorist cell and she'd still get booed out of every arena she appeared in.

The matches themselves probably won't be anything to blog about (although I still will), but at the very least it will get an audience, many of whom are unfamiliar with Carmella, on her side in the quickest manner possible.

Another decent option would be to have her play a valet role and back someone against The Miz, countering Maryse, but with her very public relationship with Big Cass I don't think fans would buy into it, nor would her heart be in it. And that's never a good motivating factor for a performer.

Give Carmella some dominant wins over Eva Marie and then move her on to bigger and better things. Plus it's not like anyone expects anything more out of Eva Marie. She's bulletproof to things like wins and losses. The crowd lives to sh*t on her.
