6 Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Orlando

3. The Authors Of Pain Retain

The Revival and DIY are among the best tag teams on the planet, and while The Authors of Pain still have much to learn in the ring, they’ve looked great lately. It might be a consequence of working with four of NXT’s biggest and best, but the Tag Team Champions look much improved from their clumsy early days, and this three-way feud has been very enjoyable.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa helped drag the Authors to an excellent match at TakeOver: San Antonio, and with Dash & Dawson thrown into the equation, there’s no reason to believe this clash won’t be of the same quality. All six will work their backsides off to get the most out of the match, and Akam & Rezar should make great bases to catch and throw their smaller opponents around.

Expect The Authors to retain here.

The Revival have done all they can in NXT, and another title reign would only delay their long overdue main roster call-ups. The same can also be said for DIY, and while at least one of these teams will need to stick around to anchor the division, post-Orlando, there’s no reason for either to be champions at the moment.
