6 Problems With Having Triple H As WWE Champion

4. Heel Authority Figures Aren€™t Going Anywhere Anytime Soon

The angle where the authority figure is the only heel is one that needs to die. There is legitimately no angle that has ever been this played-out in the history of the business. It's dated, it's tedious, and given that audiences have turned away from the product in droves over the past year, I am clearly not the only one that thinks this. Instead of acknowledging this issue, and maybe floating the imagination boat out a little further than the dock, we now have confirmation that WWE are happy just to stay moored in the port of complacency. Because for at least the next two months, we are going to be inundated with this narrative. Not only are we going to be inundated with it, but the narrative itself will be on steroids. The authority angle has been insufferable enough with the McMahons just being the bosses. Add in the fact that HHH is the now champion, and we can expect to see a lot more promos opening Raw, and a lot more screwy finishes to matches that we don€™t even want to see. We are going to hear a lot of false indignation from Michael Cole, and we are going to hear JBL say €™14-time World Champion€™ as often as he says €˜$9.99€™. It's going to be brutal, and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. Oh, and speaking of complacency€
