6 Problems With Having Triple H As WWE Champion

1. This 'Fix' Can€™t Last

In the fallout from the Rumble, there seem to be two groups who are ecstatic about the win of HHH. The first are HHH marks and the fact that they are happy makes sense. There are some people (particularly my age) that used to love HHH, and they simply are stoked their guy is on top. Fair enough. Can't argue with that. But the other group seems to be from a group we can call the ABR€™s (Anyone But Roman€™s). I am probably one of these people myself €“ not because I dislike the guy, as much as I think he is woefully exposed at the moment - but the ABR's mainly seem ecstatic because their guy is no longer champion and because he didn't pull off the impossible. And that's fair enough, too €“ if your maximum span of attention is two minutes. If the plan is to make this a battle between Roman and HHH on the biggest stage of them all, then um€we are going to go through the same thing all over again, where Roman is going to be Champion. So it€™s like a two-month hiatus, in other words, before the crowds are back to being angry with a champ they don€™t want. But the other option isn€™t particularly great, either. Are we going to have HHH as Champion if he defeats Roman in the main event? I don€™t even know how to comprehend how bleak that makes the product seem in 2016. Equally, if they go with someone else, then why is HHH the standard bearer for them to get across in this day in age? Are we meant to believe that HHH is an obstacle for Brock Lesnar? Is HHH really going to take on the entire Wyatt Family single handily? Actually, that's a bad example because given how poorly they have been booked, it would be completely logical for him to do this. There is no viable way that this can last long without making all the other talent look hopeless, and without undoing a year of storytelling. There is no viable way that this can last long without making all the other talent look hopeless, and without undoing a year of storytelling. So basically in two months time, we are going to be right back where we were, or we are going to be even worse off. Yay.
