6 Reasons Chris Jericho's 2014 WWE Run Was A Failure

1. Bray Wyatt Is The Best Overall Performer In WWE

I'm certain that Chris Jericho as a pro wrestler wanted to have a pro wrestling match against Bray Wyatt. He's one helluva great wrestler and every wrestler should want to wrestle against him. However, for the purposes of WWE in 2014, a prolonged feud between the fresh-from-the-shelf Jericho and white-hot Bray Wyatt was so incredibly stupid that it actually did a disservice to both performers. If Brock Lesnar weren't currently in WWE and being an incredibly entertaining World Heavyweight Champion, the next-best choice for that role would be Bray Wyatt. He's evolving into a role where he's like The Undertaker, more a moral compass for the WWE Universe than a pro wrestler. The second Bray Wyatt said "Chris Jericho hasn't saved anybody," it was like the invincibility cloak that Jericho's worn as a teflon babyface for his entire 15-year WWE run was removed and placed on Wyatt's tattooed shoulders. Wyatt's actually like Jericho was in 1998, stealing other wrestler's gimmicks and putting them onto his body, arming himself for the future. He stole Daniel Bryan's heart, the fan's adoration from John Cena and finally Jericho's ability to stay over no matter what. Jericho wrestling Wyatt was a terrible idea because as Wyatt does with anything he touches right now, he renders it inconsequential by comparison to who he is and what he's doing. CHris Jericho should've wrestled anyone, everyone except Bray Wyatt.
