6 Reasons Why Kevin Owens Vs. Triple H Is Best For Business

3. It Gives Owens A Marquee 'Mania Match

Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho was demoted from Universal Title status at WrestleMania 33 to a match for the United States belt. Goldberg's smash hit return caused WWE to go with him and Brock Lesnar instead of the logical split between former best friends as Raw's top title story. Next year, Owens deserves bigger.

His match with Jericho wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it was hardly going to get top billing on such a stacked card in Orlando. Seth Rollins fared better because he was going up against Triple H; WWE were never going to treat a Triple H match like an afterthought, and that would be true in New Orleans next spring too.

After several years of being in lower-card slots at WrestleMania, Kevin Owens should get a crack at one of the bigger story matches on the year's biggest show. He's earned his stripes by now on the main roster, so seeing him on that 'Mania poster opposite Triple H would feel like a reward.
