6 Signs Daniel Bryan Will Follow CM Punk And Quit WWE
5. Injuries/Surgeries Factor Into Career Decision Making
It was back on May 15th, 2014, that Daniel Bryan announced on RAW that he was injured and would need to undergo neck surgery. Months after the surgery, Bryan was still having issues as the strength to his arm still had not returned. He was now having to look into a second surgery, or quit possibly retiring from in ring action. Bryan continued to rehab and eventually the strength to his arm returned. CM Punk broke his silence on Colt Cabana's podcast back in November, and explained all of the injuries and surgeries he was dealing with when he was the WWE Champion. From knee procedures to arm/elbow immobility, CM Punk's body had become beaten down. Punk even went on to say that once he quit the WWE, he went to his own doctor who diagnosed a growth on his back as a staph infection. This was something that was bothering Punk for awhile, and he claims the WWE doctors were ignoring it. The in-ring styles and physicality of Bryan and Punk take a toll on their bodies over time. As bad as they want to continue in the ring, there may come a time when they have to step away, for the sake of their health.
