6 Signs Daniel Bryan Will Follow CM Punk And Quit WWE

3. Both Drop The WWE Championship, And Never Return Back To The Title Picture?

On the road to WrestleMania 29, CM Punk held the WWE Championship for 434 days before dropping the title to The Rock. This impressive title streak came to an end to set up a Championship Match between The Rock and John Cena at WrestleMania. That would be the last time Punk would be the WWE Champion. He went on to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, before taking a break to heal from his injuries. When Punk returned he would face the likes of Chris Jericho, and would later in the year team with Daniel Bryan to take on The Wyatt Family. CM Punk never got back to the title picture. Daniel Bryan was forced to relinquish the WWE Championship due to injury, shortly after winning the title at WrestleMania 30. After being away from the ring for months, the WWE had the perfect opportunity to put Daniel Bryan back into the title scene at the Royal Rumble. What better way to do it than having him win the Rumble, that he should have won last year. Bryan would then go on to face Brock Lesnar, and try to regain the belt that no one had beat him for. Also, Bryan would have thrived in the role as underdog against a much bigger Brock Lesnar. What makes this even worse is that Daniel Bryan may not sniff the title scene for a great deal longer. If the rumors are true, and Brock Lesnar will finish out his contract at WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns is set to take the thrown and become WWE Champion. If the WWE is trying to make Reigns the next John Cena, he will remain champion for a lengthy run. With a baby face Reigns as champ, look for him to face the top heels in the WWE, starting with the Money In The Bank winner Seth Rollins. Feuds with Rusev and Bray Wyatt may follow down the road. When does Daniel Bryan get his shot again?
