6 Steps To Make Ronda Rousey WWE's Biggest Star By WrestleMania

5. A Big Debut

Think of great WWE celebrity debuts and you think of Mike Tyson's showdown with Stone Cold in the run-up to 1998's WrestleMania XIV, Big Show catching a pair of Floyd Mayweather right hooks at No Way Out a decade later, and, of course, Kevin Federline trading barbs with John Cena in '06.

One hopes that the company has something similarly huge in the pipeline for Ronda Rousey, whose success - as far as WWE is concerned - will largely hinge on whether her arrival in the kayfabe world is able to generate a mainstream buzz not seen around the company since The Rock's WrestleMania comeback five years ago.

Given all of that, it's an obvious certainty that Rousey, in a break from recent tradition, would be completely fast-tracked through NXT - her first steps in the squared circle coming behind closed doors - and given a red carpet welcome on the main roster once she's ready to compete.

In more specific terms, this means a Monday Night Raw opening segment confrontation with one of the main roster's already-established stars. They need to make it clear from the outset that she's here to compete - not simply boost her celebrity profile.
