2. Cabana & Avalon Have A Blast

Colt Cabana is a great comedy wrestler. One of the main reasons for this is his ability to incorporate gimmickry into his matches in ways that make sense, seamlessly meshing ha-ha-ha spots with slick, classic grappling, protecting the bout's sense of realism to an extent. This elevates him far beyond most in-ring comedians and he looked like he was a blast against Peter Avalon, who played the heel jobber role to perfection.

A bout set up by a backstage argument over podcasts and audiobooks saw Avalon interrupted while doing his shhhhhtick once more. 'Pretty Peter' was out to spoil the fun thereafter, though a late-match tug of war with Colt over Leva Bates saw him almost lock lips with his fellow 'Librarian' as he caught her. A chivalrous turn for Avalon? Maybe, but it led to his defeat, with Cabana hitting his Superman pin for the 1-2-3 shortly after.

A fine way to introduce Colt as a singles wrestler and Avalon is always the perfect guy to beat in situations like this. Losing is his business, and business is good.
