6 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dark (Sep 8)

4. Will Hobbs vs. Sean Legacy

AEW gave Will Hobbs a showcase of his own after weeks of playing the loser on Dark. Following his beef-slapping run in the Casino Battle Royale, it's another sign that the promotion sees something in the big powerhouse, whose power-based offense is as impressive-looking as any of the company's other monsters.

This was a pure squash. Sean Legacy foolishly put Hobbs in a headlock early on but was soon tossed around like a dead leaf in tornado, eating all kinds of suplexes and charges. An Oklahoma Stampede put him away in the end.

Hobbs is a similar prospect to Wardlow in that he is an almighty mountain of a man with great facials and an eye-catching moveset, though it's tough to get a gage on how complete a performer he is. The coming weeks and months should shine a light on his potential as he engages in increasingly competitive bouts.
