6 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Late Night Dynamite (Sep 22)

2. Sign Ben Carter

Ben Carter
AEW

There's a strong chance that AEW has already signed Ben Carter to a contract, given that he was put in this Dynamite spotlight in the first place. If they haven't, they must do so before a competitor steps in and takes him out free agency. It's that simple.

Having excelled in his Dark debut, Carter was outstanding against Scorpio Sky, proving his mastery of the things that really matter in professional wrestling. Yes, he can flip and fly, and he's great at those aspects, but bumping, selling, and being able to tell a story are more important. Carter has these skills in droves.

An ideal world would see Carter spend another couple of years honing his craft on the indies before making the step up. Professional wrestling is different now, though. Competition means anyone who builds even a slither of hype is immediately on the radar, so AEW must act now before WWE, NJPW, or Impact are hitting Carter up. Nobody can afford to let this guy slip away.
