6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 26)

Downs...

2. Leave That To The Undertaker

Ethan Page
AEW

Yours truly can't lie.

He's not digging this feud between Men Of The Year and the Sting/Darby Allin duo. It should've ended at Double Or Nothing, but AEW are dragging it on and on (and on) to the point of exhaustion. On Dynamite, Ethan Page beat Bear Bronson then challenged Darby to a 'Coffin Match' come Road Rager.

Sure, Allin's finish is called the 'Coffin Drop', and he does have this macabre vibe to his character, but...a one-on-one Casket Match? Really? That's a strange place to take this tag-team feud, and it doesn't sound like the type of thing AEW actually needs to do in 2021.

Also, if Sting shows up in one of those coffins, people will only start talking about that elusive Stinger vs. The Undertaker match that never happened. Poaching one of 'Taker's most famous gimmick bouts isn't a fantastic direction to take Darby's character.
