6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 14)

3. Four More Years

Y'know who is sticking with AEW? Those old-schoolers FTR.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler announced that they'd inked new four year deals with the promotion on this week's show, and that earned a big response from fans in the stands. According to Wheeler, they're "done with wrestling" after that contract runs out, but promise to have some sizzling matches long before then.

The Gunns were kinda given a raw deal as AEW Tag Champs, but then so were The Acclaimed in a lot of ways. There's no way Tony Khan treats FTR like that though, so they could hold these belts for a long, long time. You'd be hard-pressed to find anybody who thinks that's a bad thing.

There was no setup for any new feuds here. The promo was literally just Dax and Cash talking about their new contracts, how they plan to honour them and what the future holds. It was a popular bit of fan service that put WWE rumours to bed and felt like one of Rampage's bigger announcements to date.
