6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT UK (22 April)

4. Time For A Makeover

Jinny Joseph Conners
WWE

Jinny vs. Dani Luna should have been far better than it actually was, but unfortunately, it didn’t up to scratch. It needs to be stated that this wasn’t actually a bad match by any means; it simply wasn’t as great as it was supposed to be considering the talent involved.

It was as technical a wrestling match as technical gets. Strike battles commenced from the sound of the bell, with Jinny also nabbing a decent trio of suplexes that was rather good. Dani played the babyface-in-peril role to perfection here, taking a strong beating from ‘The Fashionista’ before mounting a comeback. A Joseph Conners ringside distraction changed things, however, leading to Jinny’ Touch of Couture rolling kick for the win. This was made better by Luna appearing to be legitimately knocked out for a bit, meaning Jinny had to roll her up manually.

Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster saved Luna from a Jinny beatdown post-match, furthering the relationship between them and Dani. Who knows where this is going. Good stuff, though.
