6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT UK (22 April)

3. The Next Generation

NXT UK’s women’s division is alright. Not great, but still alright nonetheless. Two brief vignettes from last night’s show proved this, focusing on its two most promising next top stars.

Aoife Valkyrie, for example, confirmed that she’ll be facing Meiko Satomura next week, stating that it’s time for her to come out of the shadow and show everyone what Aoife Valkyrie is all about. As for Emilia, she claimed that being the youngest member of NXT UK’s roster gives her an advantage over everyone else because she’s got the most to prove.

Two good promos here, the Aoife Valkyrie vignette specifically being an excellently produced package. Valkyrie vs. Satomura is going to be all kinds of pro wrestling excellence, and McKenzie is no doubt the choice to take the NXT UK Women’s Championship off of Kay Lee Ray. Needless to say, these promos were required.
