6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT UK (27 May)
5. Basic, But Good
Nathan Frazer vs. Sha Samuels was fine. Nothing spectacular, but still a solid match. The whole dynamic of Samuels presuming he’s superior to Frazer simply because he’s older is a naff story, while Nathan isn’t exactly helping himself by dressing like a backyard wrestler for lack of a better term. It was a good match, though. Honestly.
‘The East-End Butcher’ was great in knocking the former Ben Carter from atop his perch, sending him literally halfway across the ring with a neat military press. This set Frazer up perfectly for a comeback later on, of which he’s one of wrestling’s current best. He just has that natural energy that WWE typically lacks. When he lets himself loose, you truly think that there is no stopping him. You need only look at the momentum of his Tope con Hilo for proof.
A Frog Splash earned Frazer the win, mere moments after Noam Dar had been ejected from ringside for entering the ring in full-view of the referee. It was an alright match, and it surely spells the end of this story arc, seeing as Noam has his sights set on Ilja Dragunov next week.
