6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT UK (27 May)
1. The Real Kenny Williams
A minor Up for WWE bringing Andy Wild in for at least one NXT UK episode. As cheesy as it is to say, anyone who knows the guy is aware of how deserving he is of such an opportunity.
His debut vs. a clean-shaven Kenny Williams was solid. Kenny looked like a slimy d*ck, which was needed, and Wild looked like an absolute beast where he was able to, which, again, was needed. He’s a bigger lad; Williams shouldn’t be easily defeating him. In fact, ‘The LKY Yin’ only won in the first place by raking Andy’s eyes, setting him up perfectly for a spiked headlock driver.
This was a good bit of business. The whole shaving of the beard vignette as Kenny was making his entrance was a tad weird, considering the guy has never made a big deal of having a beard in the first place – it was merely there because he hadn’t shaved it – but his new look is what he needs to move on from the whole Amir Jordan schtick. He looked slick in defeating Wild, so perhaps this is the start of something more for Williams.
Who knows, maybe the NXT Cruiserweight Championship will be his in the future.
