Wrestling matches don't need to be long to be effective.

More workers on the WWE roster will have to learn how to maximise their minutes now SmackDown has shed that third hour. House room is going to be a little more scarce, which is why both Stephanie Vaquer and Alba Fyre deserve a round of applause for what they produced on Friday night. Together, the pair packed an awful lot into just 2 short minutes of ring time.

That's how to maximise your spot on the show, people. Take a bow, ladies. Could Vaquer and Alba have worked something decent with more time? Probably, but they definitely didn't need it. This 2-minute match was somehow way more effective than an 8-10 minute back and forth one would've been. Vaquer has star quality, and it’s a good idea to paint her as unstoppable in-ring.

She won that Battle Royal at Evolution last weekend to guarantee a title match come Clash In Paris at the end of August. Building towards that by having Stephanie rack up win after win after win is a grand idea - she must look razor sharp by the time WWE jets off to France for the latest international supershow.

Then, whomever Vaquer faces on the card can rest assured fans there live will be interested and take the challenger as a real threat. Good on Stephanie and Alba for understanding the assignment and going above and beyond to squeeze as much as humanly possible into such a scant amount of ring time.

That's true talent. Owen Hart and The 1-2-3 Kid from King Of The Ring 1994 would be proud.
