Fire up Twitter/X and you'll surely spot a few grumbling comments from people p*ssed that Santos Escobar lost to Carlito on this week's show. Folks, it's part of a story. Rey Mysterio's return was the focus anyway, and him costing Santos sets up a surefire grudge match at WrestleMania 40.

Plus, the LWO vs. Legado del Fantasma feud can continue burning beneath that. Win-win.

The 'Street Fight' brawl between Escobar and Carlito was perfectly serviceable stuff, and Mysterio's crutch ruse was excellently-handled. Fans popped for Rey's comeback, then exploded once he hit his 619 and cost Santos the win. What's not to like about this exactly?

Docs have cleared Rey Rey to bounce back out there and do his thing again, which is great. 'Mania's undercard (on either night) feels like a bigger deal for having him involved, and it's amazing that WWE will get to close out his rivalry with former protege and LWO turncoat Escobar.
