Downs...

2. Start As You Mean To Go On?

Look, everybody in pro wrestling has to lose, and the best workers can do so without losing face. However, having Austin Theory stare at the lights during his very first match on SmackDown was a questionable decision, especially when he's clearly going to be a big deal on Fridays.

Hopefully, this isn't a sign of things to come.

Yes, this is admittedly the most minor of minor gripes, but it's definitely worth mentioning. Sheamus was right there, and nobody would've blinked had Bobby Lashley pinned him towards the end of that three-way instead. Beating Theory so quickly on Smackers just felt...unnecessary and avoidable.

Attention now turns to Theory's next chapter. He was never winning that World Heavyweight Title anyway, and it's more important that he has a meaty United States Title feud to get stuck into. Over to you, WWE creative team.
