6 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (June 1 - Results & Review)

AEW Collision The WorkHorsemen Anthony Henry JD Drake Daniel Garcia
AEW

Katsuyori Shibata is an icon of the business, Daniel Garcia is one of the most promising young wrestlers on the planet, and the WorkHorseman are a criminally underappreciated tandem. So, it should come as no real surprise that Shibata & Garcia vs. Anthony Henry & JD Drake was a lot of fun.

Truthfully, your writer is always likely to dish out an Up whenever the WorkHorsemen get featured on TV, with that tandem being a personal favourite. With Anthony Henry now back with the company and healed up from his damaged jaw - the grappler bafflingly released while injured earlier in the year - here's hoping this was the start of a little more focus on the WorkHorsemen.

Yes, it was again obvious that the babyfaces would get the win here, but the crowd really got into the action once the match got going, with Shibata and Garcia always solid entertainment, and Henry and Drake impressing with some brilliant offense - most notably, the crowd popping big for an extraordinary top-rope moonsault from Drake onto Garcia, and Henry nicely tying Red Death up on the mat while simultaneously mocking his dance moves.

Thankfully, an injury scare for JD Drake didn't derail this one, and hopefully a showing like this - and the reaction received - will convince Tony Khan to start using the WorkHorsemen on AEW programming more regularly. Heck, maybe even next time out they could pick up a win and start to gather some upward momentum... with the team still actually winless when it comes to AEW TV.
